I'm delighted to welcome you to Carmel's Elementary School - Hong Kong’s only Jewish Elementary School and Pre-School.

From its inception as small community school in 1991, Carmel's Elementary School has now grown to approaching 200 students and is recognised amongst the leading international elementary schools in the region. Carmel is a unique educational institution, offering a dual Jewish and General Studies curriculum in a tri-lingual environment and located in one of the most exciting cities in the world, and I am honoured to be part of the Carmel story.

Whether you are a permanent resident of Hong Kong or may only be with us in Hong Kong for a few years, the Carmel mission is to ensure that the educational journey for our students takes place within a warm, nurturing and supporting environment which fosters a shared responsibility of contributing to the Jewish, local and international community.

At Carmel Elementary we have a passion for teaching and learning which infuses all aspects of the school community. Our dedicated teaching staff provide a quality, broad ranging Jewish and General Studies curriculum, enriched by a wealth of co-curricular and extra-curricular activities. Our small class sizes and individual support contribute to the pursuit of academic excellence. We value and develop the inherent abilities of all students, encouraging every girl and boy to learn and grow, to explore their strengths and to realise their full potential.

Carmel thrives as a result of the commitment and partnership between members of the community, school staff and our parent and student body. This is exemplified by our strong and active Parent Teacher Association (PTA) which contributes on a daily basis to all aspects of school life, through which our students prosper and our parents feel closely connected with their children's education.
